Built on the success of the 1st International Seminar on Teacher Education (ISTE) in 2015, which is now considered the 1st ICTE (International Conference on Teacher Education), Faculty of Education and Teacher Training – Universitas Islam Negeri Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau warmly invites researchers, academics/lecturers, postgraduate students, and practitioners of education and teacher education to participate in the 2nd International Conference on Teacher Education (ICTE). The 2nd ICTE will feature paper and poster presentations that center around the theme of “Teacher education in the era of digitality and intercultural encounters“.
To provide the platform for sharing and showcasing ideas on this theme, the committee of ICTE 2017 invites researchers, academics/lecturers, postgraduate students, and practitioners of education and teacher education to submit their presentation proposals. The committee welcomes submissions relevant to the theme of ICTE 2017, which include but not limited to the following sub-themes:

The conference is scheduled to begin at 14.00 WIB on Friday, the 22nd of September and end on Saturday afternoon, the 23rd of September 2017. Venue for the conference is the Islamic Center Building of our university’s main campus in Pekanbaru.
Confirmed speakers for the 2nd ICTE are Professor Lesley Harbon of the University of Technology Sydney (Plenary Speaker), Professor Raihani of UIN Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau (Plenary Speaker), Professor Ramlee Mustapha of Sultan Idris University of Education/UPSI, Malaysia (Plenary Speaker), Dr. Pupung Purnawarman of Indonesia University of Education (Invited Speaker), and Dr. Sopyan of Jambi University, a national recipient of Indonesia’s Most Innovative teacher-practitioner award 2016 (Invited Speaker).
English will be the official language of the conference. However, submissions and presentations in Bahasa Indonesia and Arabic are also welcome.
